Create a brand identity for a fictional company and develop packaging designs and additional (secondary) applications that will help define the holistic visual system.
Solution
As someone with a father who does bicycle motocross (BMX), I learned to ride a bike at just two years old. Now, with two younger siblings learning to ride, I was inspired to create a brand that supported this lifestyle. Wheelie, a new fictional bike brand, is the next-best-thing for parents who want a safe and fun outdoor biking experience with their fast-growing kids. The name Wheelie comes from the bike term, “wheelie”; meaning to ride a bike with one wheel off of the ground. Wheelie’s brand is all about the nostalgic feeling of being a care-free, adventurous child. With colors inspired by childhood toys and organic, gestural shapes inspired by the silhouettes of bike parts, Wheelie provides safe products for every stage of a child’s outdoor biking experience.
